Enjoy live theater, concerts and comedy in the heart of Geneva.

The First Friday Gallery Walk is a self-guided art walk and reception to   showcase the Art Galleries of Geneva. Participating Galleries stay open   “late ‘til 8” the first Friday of every month. All of the galleries are within   walking distance of each other. We look forward to welcoming you to our Arts Community! 
Every Sunday you can shop the Geneva French Market in downtown Geneva, IL.
Geneva French Market - Every Sunday 8 am to 2 pm
The market is conveniently located in downtown Geneva at the Metra train station parking lot. The French Market features farm produce, fresh flowers, baked goods, jewelry, handbags and more. Come check out the variety of great offerings the market has every Sunday (May - October)!

60 Men Who Cook
60 local celebrity men will demonstrate their cooking skills when the Geneva Chamber of Commerce presents “60 Men Who Cook” to benefit the Geneva History Center, Geneva Lions Club and Rotary Club of Geneva at 6 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Kane County Fairgrounds.  Attendees will sample hors d’oeuvres, main dishes, side dishes & desserts made by men they know in the community and then vote for their favorite.  For ticket information call 630-232-6060.


Gardenology  - May
Learn how to create, grow, and maintain your garden. Specialists and master gardeners will be here to answer any questions and give advice. Topics include herbs, flowers, vegetables, heirloom plants and table scrapes. Learn about attracting birds and butterflies, wildlife control, composting, pest control, organic fertilizers and more.
Kids can have fun too by planting seeds in biodegradable
pots and creating sprout necklaces.

The Granquist Memorial Music Competition
promotes music performance, competition, and education. Students are grouped by instrument, age and years of instruction and judged by qualified musicians. The competition is held during the annual Swedish Days Festival each June. For additional information call 630-232-6060.

Geneva Concours d'Elegance
Classic car enthusiasts will gather this year on Third Street in Historic Geneva in August, to view a collection of antique, classic and modern automobiles. Participants from all over the country will be displaying their prized automobiles hoping to be awarded one of the coveted “Benz” trophies. This event is open to the public at no cost from 10am – 4 p.m. Join us to rejoice in the art and the design of the automobile and raise awareness for our charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.   

Folk Music
The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival
Will be held Labor Day Weekend at Island Park in Geneva. Eight stage areas present concerts, hands-on workshops, topical song & story workshops, dance, vocal & instrument classes and special things for the kids.


Black Hat Day 
Wear a black hat and receive special rewards and offers from participating stores in downtown Geneva. Any black hat will do, of course Halloween themed hats are the most fun!


Geneva Film Festival
What is a film festival?  Come find out at Geneva’s Annual Film Festival.  Hosting an array of independent films and professional workshops, downtown Geneva will be buzzing with lights and cameras for a Saturday full of action.
